Patong Beach

Patong Beach is the activity centre of Phuket. Known as the best place in Phuket and perhaps even Thailand to party and play. With hundreds of restaurants, lounge bars, beer bars, discos and nightclubs Patong Beach caters for the young and the young at heart. Patong nightlife is focused mainly on Soi Bangla also known as Bangla Road. Patong Beach is approximately a 40 minute drive from Phuket International Airport.

During the day Patong Beach a curved sandy bay comes alive with visitors lying back on the endless stream of sun lounges with para-sail and jet ski operators, boat drivers, beach vendors and even masseuses available on the beach. Massages in Phuket and particularly Patong Beach are very affordable with many operators to choose from. Market stalls are almost everywhere throughout the main streets of Patong, however remember to haggle with a smile on your face to get a reasonable price.

Patong Beach has been highly influenced by western cultures, with plenty of familiar brands and chains present such as McDonalds, KFC, Boots pharmacies and Starbucks to name a few.
